Higher Network auto system

The only problem with running MS-DOS 3.3 on a 386/486 system is that it doesn’t on its own recognise the existence of extended or LIM expanded memory. You can install a 386/486 memory manager and even move some of its device drivers into high memory, but MS-DOS 3.3 will not make use of LIM expanded memory either to increase efficiency or to save memory in the 640KByte area of conventional memory.

The only exception to this is the RAM disk driver included with some MS-DOS 3.3 systems. The standard VDISK driver supplied before MS-DOS 4 will use only conventional memory but some customised versions of MS-DOS include an alternative such as RAMDRIVE. SYS. This can use either conventional memory, expanded memory or LIM expanded memory as long as it is available. A careful and selective use of a RAM disk can speed particular application greatly. To install a RAM disk in LIM expanded memory use the command:
